MUUSE pop-up shop at Henrik Vibskov boutique

Hello everyone!

MUUSE had launched a pop-up shop at Henrik Vibskov Boutique in Copenhagen. Yeah! For those who have never heard about them: it is a company that helps talented designers  around the world so they can get support in producing, showing and selling their collections.

I really admire and support this initiative because I believe that it encourages  the up-coming designers stand out from the very competitive and fast industry called Fashion.

On Wednesday, I had the chance to join the opening party and see closely the items currently available at the store.

There were a lot of interesting and fashionable people including the designer Henrik Vibskov itself.

I admire Henrik Vibskov as a designer and artist because I think that he is very creative. He challenges and cross the border line between fashion and art, creating a unique an remarkable universe. I could not lose the chance to tell him that in person ;).

At the Henrik Vibskov Boutique you can explore MUUSE’s collection designed by: Wali Mohammed Barrech ,Sasha Nassar, Ece Gözen, and Eun-Jung Lee and eventually you can also shop Henrik Vibskov’s own brand as well as Stine Goya, Comme des Garcons, Damir Doma, Chalayan, KTZ, Anne Sofie Madsen, and Asger Juel Larsen.

Some of the items that catched my attention were:

  • A sweater from Juun.J

Juun.J’s designs are very modern and sculptural. It is amazing the way he is able to translate a classic tailoring into modern new silhouettes. His inspiration from youth and street culture is truly reflected on his work. You can see some of his designs here:

  • White dress from Eun-Jung Lee

This white dress is a perfect mix of feminine influence with a sporty masculine touch. I like the way that the designer mixes structures and compositions with a contrast that can be between classical and modern, femininity and masculinity, hardness and softness that are translated into modern and yet clean and sophisticated pieces.

  •  Neoprene dress from Wali Mohammed Barrech

This neoprene dress from Wali Mohammed Barrech is a perfect new version of the modern “tittle” dress. The balance between the patterns and colours is very modern and playful.

  • White jacket from ECE GöZEN

ece grozen

I spotted this elegant and sporty white jacket from ECe Gozen – simply summer perfection. Ece was the winner of the MUUSE x VOGUE Talents Young Vision Award back in 2012 and she designs ‘sport-couture’ for confident, mysterious women. You can see more of her work at: http://www.muuse.com/
