Diageo World Class Nordic Final 2014

Hi guys!

I want to dedicate this post to my amazing big brother Hardeep Rehal. He is a professional bartender and last wednesday Diageo World Class Nordic Finals were held here in Copenhagen in the beautiful Hotel D’angleterre.

The competition was held over two days where all the competitors had to compete in several challenges where 6 judges had to judge them on skills, creativity, creations and performance.

One of the last challenges was called “Mystery Box” where they got some minutes to pick out some ingredients and create a cocktail. My brother created the cocktail Norseman Sour and it contained gin, sea buckthorn, licorice and lemon juice.

He is going to represent Denmark in the World Championship in July and on top of that, he even took the title as the Nordic Champion where he won over Sweden and Norway.

I am so proud of him. I hope you will all cross your fingers and wish him good luck for the next big challenge! 🙂

Sit´n´Grilling in Vejby

Hey ya´ll!

I hope you are all enjoying the sun, at least I have been longing for it all year long, so all I think about right now is being out there as most as I can 🙂

So it is, me and Thomas have been yesterday to one of his friend´s place in the north of Denmark for a grilling session with the most amazing griller ever! It is called Sit´n´Grill and it is a table with a grilling center, where everyone can sit around and make their own meal, how amazing is that? I was quite surprised about how easy it was to set and use it, so I can definitely recommend it. Go to their website and check how cool they are! IMG_3143 OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It was a lot of fun, I met wonderful people, we played games, ate amazing fresh food and of course, drank a lot!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As the weather and the place were quite propitious, I decided to use an off-white summer dress with bordeaux sandals, hope you like it and let us know how you are enjoying your summer!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Easter vacation getaway

Easter vacation is finally here! Are you looking for a weekend getaway? Sometimes a brief change of scenery is all it takes to revitalize the spirit and make the work-a-day world seem far away. Getaways can provide you with the sparkle that you need.

You don’t need to go very far to find the best weekend getaways for couples or family if you live in Copenhagen.

Three weeks ago, I took my husband to Malmö as a surprise birthday gift and it was wonderful!

Going to Malmö does not take more than 35 minutes by train from Copenhagen Central Station and the ticket only cost 85kr (170kr both ways).

Malmö is Sweden’s third largest city by population. Together with Copenhagen, it constitutes the transnational Øresund Region. The language is different, the houses are different, it smells new but I guarantee you that you will enjoy being abroad, while you feel completely at home.

During our visit, we stayed at Mayfair Hotel, which is a 100-year-old hotel with a great central location for travellers by train and bus. The hotel with its four stars has everything that you need to make your weekend magic so I definitely recommend it. Both the rooms and the food is super delicious. Had simply the most perfect weekend! Mayfair hotel is stunningly beautiful and marked by a lot of interesting history.

The city itself is versatile; you can find anything from clothing boutiques, outdoor restaurants, nightclubs, parks, beach, cafes, cosy bars, harbour, interesting architecture and museums.

Malmo is also the first city in Sweden, which was nominated and appointed to Fair-trade City, so in many stores you can find both organic and Fair Trade label clothing or locally produced organic food.

For lunch we headed to the Lilla Torg, which is a very cosy square with a lot of outdoors restaurants, cafes and bars. We ate at an Italian restaurant called Pronto, which had a delicious Carpaccio and risotto.

As a dinner date, we went to restaurant called Bastard, which is described as modern European home cooking. I strongly recommend the restaurant and I definitely would go back there again. They were phenomenally creative yet homey, the food delicious with class and the service was excellent. http://www.bastardrestaurant.se/#start

And finally end up the night with some dance moves at the Etage nightclub. There was 3 different atmosphere, and rooms where we could choose from and a huge cosy outdoor for those of you who like tobacco. It was worth to try.

If you are visiting Malmö for the first time you should try to see at least some of the most popular attractions:

It was my second time being in Malmö ( 1st time with Mariana and Aman)and I certainly enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. It is amazing how you can always find something new to see, to do or to try out there.

And remember that no matter where you are or go during your vacation make sure that you have a positive attitude, because that will truly make a huge impact on your experience. Enjoy your vacation and Happy Easter to all of you!

With Love,

Copenhagen Fashion Week #1

So CPHFW is here and we from Hybrida are trying to get the best out of it for you!

This morning we went to the official press conference and heard of all the good and new things about this year´s shows, schedules, partnerships, etc. Their team is really improving and even included one more day to the event, since there are a lot of brands.

After that, we saw the official opening show by Kopenhagen Fur in partnership with Danish and Chinese designers, among them some of our favourites, like Jean Philip and Anne Sofie Madsen. Here is the result of this beautiful arrangement.

Enjoy it and make sure to keep an eye on the blog for fresh fashion week news!

New Year´s Outfits

Whats up boys and girls!

This is Mariana, I am the girl to the right in the picture above and today I will give you some nice tips about New Year´s Outfits in case you are wondering what to wear for such a special date.

Well, I know in most countries there is no such rules for this date, but in my home country – Brazil – it is practically forbidden to wear anything but WHITE!

Rumor has it that the color symbolizes peace and wearing something white on the first day of the year will bring you some good stuff on the next 365 days!

So here is some inspiration in case you want to do different during this New Year´s Eve.

What are you going to wear?

Last weekend we went to a birthday and housewarming party in Copenhagen and it was crazy!! It was packed with friends and family and that was the theme for the night.

We travelled back all the way to the 1920’s and here is a little snapshot from our amazing night.

What do you think of the Great Gatsby and 1920’s fashion trend? Have you been to any parties with that theme lately?

We would love to hear your thoughts so let us know in the comments and we can chat together.
