Sit´n´Grilling in Vejby

Hey ya´ll!

I hope you are all enjoying the sun, at least I have been longing for it all year long, so all I think about right now is being out there as most as I can 🙂

So it is, me and Thomas have been yesterday to one of his friend´s place in the north of Denmark for a grilling session with the most amazing griller ever! It is called Sit´n´Grill and it is a table with a grilling center, where everyone can sit around and make their own meal, how amazing is that? I was quite surprised about how easy it was to set and use it, so I can definitely recommend it. Go to their website and check how cool they are! IMG_3143 OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

It was a lot of fun, I met wonderful people, we played games, ate amazing fresh food and of course, drank a lot!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

As the weather and the place were quite propitious, I decided to use an off-white summer dress with bordeaux sandals, hope you like it and let us know how you are enjoying your summer!OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Holiday Bootleg Cocktail

What up guys & girls!

Hope you are all enjoying your holidays, I have been doing what I like most the whole day: sewing (and helping my boyfriend with his exams), so no tan-time for me today. However, that does not mean we can´t have some fun and drinks, correct? That is why I want to show you this amazing cocktail which I have seen (and cannot wait to experiment) in one of my favorite food blogs cookieandkate.com

bootleg-cocktail-recipe-1 bootleg-cocktail

INGREDIENTS
Bootleg mix: lemon/limeade blended with mint, yields enough mix for 4 drinks
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 3 large lemons, juiced)
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice (about 1 large or 2 medium limes, juiced) or additional lemon juice
  • ¼ cup light agave nectar or cane sugar or honey*
  • 2 packed tablespoons fresh mint leaves
Per drink (note: 2 ounces is ¼ cup)
  • 2 ounces bootleg mix
  • 2 ounces gin, vodka or bourbon
  • 2 ounces club soda
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. To make the bootleg mix: Juice the lemons and limes into a liquid measuring cup. Add sweetener. Pour the juice and sweetener into a blender. Add 2 firmly packed tablespoons of fresh mint leaves. Blend thoroughly, until the mint is is broken into teeny tiny bits.
  2. To make the drinks: Fill cocktail glasses with ice. For each drink, pour in 2 ounces of your bootleg mix, plus 2 ounces of your liquor of choice and top with 2 ounces club soda. Serve with a straw, which doubles as a stirring device.

Let us know if you try it 😉

Great holidays to all of you!

Love, Mari
